Nick and I were talking and decided that some pictures needed to come up. Before I put some up, just an update,  I am waiting or trying to wait till after the baby is born to have the surgery. I am in need of it though. That is all I think we need to update on!

Allie loves to eat big kid food. She tries to feed her self, but only gets super messy!!!!

The pictures below are from her 9 month photo shoot and we love them! We need to take more pictures of her I think!

Allie and momma, she loves getting pictures taken now :D

Our new life!

Hi guys!!

Almost doing good on writing. :D We have had a crazy week!

Let me start off by saying how this week went, we had a dr apt for Allie on Monday and it turned out she did have an ear infection on her right side. She is now eating a little bit more, which is good because she is already a peanut!  Then, on Thursday I had my  apt. I love my doctor! He is so amazing! I am grateful to my friends Carly and Kenna for letting me know about him! When I was there I felt completely fine! From there we went up to Salt Lake for my side of the families pictures. We went to Chuck A Rama and then went to Bountiful.  The next morning was our family reunion (Snowbird and Brighton hike) I was feeling super nauseated and we just figured it was me being preggers... I went through the whole day not being able to eat very much at all because it was making me nauseated. Even just the smell of the food made me so sick. At 8 we all ate dinner and I figured that I just got full fast. I was super weak and could not even hold Allie, I was super dizzy. I ended up going to bed at 9 feeling in pain and being so nauseated and dizzy. I was not able to sleep at all because any way I laid or sat I was hurting! Around 10 I started getting hiccups but each hiccup I would throw up a little bit. I went into the bathroom and sat on the toilet while resting my head and with in a couple of seconds I was throwing up SO much! It would not stop coming for literally 5 min. I was so scared and was bawling because the last time that I really threw up was back in the 2nd grade. From then on, I did not sleep I just sat in my bed trying to get comfy but couldnt. I threw up every hour until 5. Finally at five I called my parents down and asked them what they thought I should do. My dad said that it sounded like a gallbladder thing. My mom thought that it was just some sort of virus.

FINALLY morning came and I went back out to the lobby and tried to eat and drink, but I was sick the instant I got food in my mouth. I did not want to start throwing up again so I opted out of eating. Instead of staying with the family reunion Nick and I decided that we needed to go to the Bountiful Insta Care. So we drove over there and as soon as we got there, we were told that it would be a 40 min wait, but then they saw that I was pregnant and said that I would go next. I went in and they took my vital signs. The nurse left and like a min. later the dr came in and was like you need to go to the ER dont stop anywhere else.

So we left to the ER ( 15 min away) and they put me up into the Labor and Delivery Unit. They asked me about my delivery plans, so I was thinking they were going to maybe induce me! The nurse eventually let me know what was going on. She told me that they needed to take an ultra sound of my gallbladder because they said that it sounded like something was wrong with it. They gave me an ultrasound after they gave me some Percacet however you spell it... regardless of them giving it to me, it hurt so flippen bad!!!! During the ultra sound there was something on my gallbladder, the tech did not know what it was. Later the nurse said that it was nothing to worry about (after the tech asked if I was ever told that I have cancer?!?!?!).  The nurse was like we are just saying that this was a viral thing and it should go away 24-48 hours after it started.... I was already 24+ into it... but what evs! I could not eat anything at all because everything was making me nauseated and I had this constant sharp pain in my chest down to my ribs.

When we got down to Cedar City on Sunday, I called the dr on call and he was just about as helpful as the nurse was. He said he could not tell me anything over the phone and to go to the ER or just call my dr on Monday. I decided to just give my dr a call.

Now, we are here on Monday. I called my dr and told him everything that went on. He said that it sounded like something was wrong with my gallbladder (surprise?). He ordered some labs for me, I went in, got my blood tested and then they called me. He said that the labs were still the same as they were on Saturday, but if things are not better by Wed I would need to go down to St George to have surgery... That is all!!!!

I will let you know how things go!

A much needed update!

Alright, to update you all on our lives, I think it is obvious, but we are expecting baby number 2 on Oct 1. This one is a boy!!!! We cannot wait! This pregnancy has been super easy compared to Allie's. I am 23 weeks along, which means only 17 weeks to go, ASSUMING that this one comes on time and not early.

We are moving again!!!! We are moving to Cedar City next week so that way we can both start school back up again. I am majoring in Elementary Education and Nick is majoring in Construction Management. We are very excited for that new part of our lives!!!!

An update on Allie- she turns one year old on Friday!!!! We are having a huge birthday party that she would not remember. Her theme is black and white Zebra stripes with hot pink and diamond accent. She has had a lot of pictures taken, but I have not seen them yet. I will post them on Facebook once I get them!

Another exciting adventure!

Well, I decided that I am not good at blogging! So I am sorry about that! I say that I will be better... but then I fail! Ha ha! We shall see! It is hard to take care of my schedule and hop onto the Internet I guess.

Anyway, I owe you all an update!

I started Cosmetology School at Taylor Andrews in January and I LOVE it! we learn so much! I am scheduled to be done in 13 months. We do have a few hiccups. You will want to read everything in this blog.

So in November we decided that we did not want to be living in Logan. We decided not to do the original plan. We wanted to end our brief time in Logan. We thought that the LAEP program was something that we were interested and through a series of events, we decided that was not the road to take. In December, we moved down to the Land Bountiful with Nick's family. That is when we decided that we should try to have me go to hair school. I took a tour with Taylor Andrews and found my self starting by the middle of January. Any way, back to December. I was having such a hard time breathing! We decided that we would make an appointment with a respiratory specialist. The appointment was for Jan 30 at 1:00. Nick and I both had a feeling that there was something more than Asthma.

I started working for a job that I worked with handicapped people. One of the residents was sick and he had the runs and could not stop throwing up. I worked graves which meant I was the only one there taking care of everyone. I had to do a lot of cleaning up, the first night one resident was sick, the next night 4 were, then the last night all 12 were! I was so tired because I was going to school full time and I was also working 50+ hours each week!

We decided that it was the best thing for our family to quit after my body broke down. I kept falling asleep driving to school, and I could not stand because my legs kept giving out on me. Nick had to come get me from school.

We were still waiting for our appointment. On Saturday, I was not feeling well at all! I could not breathe. I was unable to go up or down stairs and I was not able to stand holding Allie. I could only sit with her. On Saturday night, everything was so strange. I could not sleep because I could not breathe and I had a horrible sinus infection to the point that my eyes and my ears hurt way bad!

Nick let me sleep in on Sunday and I stayed asleep ALL day! I was awake for maybe 4 hours that day. Sunday night I could not breathe and usually I do not care and I would not be as worried, I mean after all, I had a doctor appointment the next day. However, we just had a feeling that we needed to go to the Doctor. My breathing was horrible! Turns out that I have Pneumonia really bad. So, today is Wednesday and I have been here since Sunday night. I may get to leave tomorrow! We shall see how things go.

Now, if you want some exciting news, you will have to text or call me! 801-884-3679. You will not regret it! :D

Until next time!

Wow, it has been so long!!!

Well, let me start out by saying we have had our baby! Allie Makel Palmer :D

Anyway, I have been updating, not that well, but our computer would not let me post them. I think it was because of explorer. So now I am on Fire fox. We will give this a try!

We are moving from Logan!!!!! HAPPY DAY!!!! We are moving this Saturday (the 17th). We are moving into Nick's grandparents home. We are so excited about this! This will let us save up some money.

As for school, Nick is changing his major and going to University of Utah. And I am starting school in a couple of weeks. I will be doing online school. I will be dual majoring in Special Education and Early Childhood Education.

Allie is doing fantastic! She is already crawling. She turned 6 months on the 8th of this month. She loves to eat any kind of fruit, sweet potatoes, and sweet peas, and her favorite APPLE SAUCE. She loves to eat bananas but we found out she is allergic, so we are not letting her.

I will try to be better at posting. I just want this to work!

See you all next week right here!

Time for an update!

Wow! I know that it has been a while, so while Allie is sleeping I will try to update!

Allie was born June 8, 2011. I went into the doctors office for my 36 week appointment with Nick. The doctor looked at my blood pressure and said I needed to have my baby that day. WOW! We were shocked. But I was so ready to have her! The baby was breach so I had a cesarian delivery! SO EASY!

I loved seeing Nick holding our little girl! It is very special. When it happens to you, you will understand what is going on.

Lets see... Allie is now 11 weeks old! WOW! Time just flies bye when you are sleep deprived. Allie is starting to get on a schedule, but right when she is getting a hold of it we have some family outing that throws off the schedule. But we will keep trying. I am breast feeding Allie but not exclusivly. When we are in public or have guests over we will bottle feed her especially since our niece loves to feed her, hold her, play with her, etc.

Right now, I am in Colorado with my family on our family vacation. It is so fun but not where I want to be. Why is this? I have my family here who loves me and loves my baby! They love holding her and having adult conversations during the day is great! But there is one HUGE problem. My husband is not here with me! I have no idea how I can do this for a week! I said goodbye to him on Saturday and I am missing him so much. I want to cuddle with him and I want him to be with his baby.

Allie is now socially smiling! And that is so much fun! If you smile at her she will smile at you. it is great. She is way alert and loves to be awake. Especially at night. :(

I think that is all we have got. Oh Nick and I got to celebrate our anniversary! It was so incredible! We started celebrating on Saturday night. We went to the TIM MCGRAW concert! Yes!!!! It was so great! I loved listening to the music and just being with my husband. Then, on Sunday our actual day we got to bless our baby. This was such a great experience.

Okay, now my goals:

1- make some kind of recipe 2 times a week
2- Update my blog, twitter, tout, and vlog every Thursday.

Welp, I hope this all works! If you do not know that I have a twitter, tout and vlog now you do! Look me up and be apart of my life!!!!a

Life as of April 19, 2011

Well, all of us our doing great! Nick and I have started planning for Allie's room! We cannot wait! We unfortunately have to wait for a few more weeks. Nick has a bunch of office stuff (it ended up being a junk room) in Allie's room. Once school is over (first week of May) We will be getting everything organised. I am starting to go into Nesting which is not good... I have ten weeks left, I was hoping this would not happen yet. To those who do not know what nesting is, once you have a baby you will see what I mean. But it is basically when you try to make your home and surroundings baby safe and nice and clean.

Changes in me:

The biggest change that has happened is my tummy of course. I have started getting a whole lot bigger. It is fun because now strangers are asking when I am due, so that means I am looking pregnant. :D Another change that is not fun is my feet. I have swollen up so much! My brother says that it looks like I have elephant-titus. or how ever you spell that. Another thing that is not too fun is Heart burn. The tums that I have do not even help all that much. the heart burn is just getting worse. This makes it hard to sleep. My doctor has given me sleeping medicine because it takes about four hours each night to fall asleep. Now, for the positive. Allie kicks so much stronger than usual. I love it! She will wake me up by kicking. I kinda play games with her pushing he buttons. Allie hates having anything pressed on my tummy. So what I will do is press my tummy a little and she will kick my hand like crazy! I love her so much! It is fun to have that time with her.

Changes in our living:

We are trying to put pictures up on our walls so they are less bare. It is kinda tricky not being able to put holes in the walls. But we will get it eventually. We also have a guest that is staying with us for about a month or so. She is really nice, it is just a little crowded, but she does good at keeping her stuff well organised. Which is all we really ask for. Nick is being a champ having another girl in our home.

I think that is all of the update I have for today!!!! :D Have a great day!

Our little scare

So every pregnancy has its ups and its downs. When you are pregnant it is not all just bells and whistles. You are treated like a queen for the most part. However, you have to go to the doctors office to be looked at and such. There is a test called the glucose test. This so far has been the worst thing about being pregnant, even worse than being so sick and losing 25 pounds. The glucose test I had never heard of until I became pregnant. So, let me enlighten you in what it is, just in case you don't know. This is a test where you cannot eat anything an hour before your appointment and you also have to drink a sugar drink. Not a bad idea eh? I mean every one loves sugar and would love drinking it... DO NOT BE FOOLED! I am pretty sure that this drink was the worst think I had ever tasted. We are only allowed five min to drink this drink. I finished it in about 30 seconds because I was not going to stop till it was done because I did not want to stop and think about the taste. Immediately after drinking this, I started shaking pretty bad and I did not feel good. When I got to the doctors office the nurses were a little nervous for me because I was shaking so bad. They made sure some one was around me at all times. They have to take your blood to test to see if you have gestational diabetes (the whole point of the test). After that, they took me into a room and tried to listen to Allie's heart beat. She was going just as crazy as I was it turned out. She could not stop moving so it was hard for the doctor to find her heart beat long enough. We eventually found it and it was 153 which is very healthy! The next day I get a call saying that I did not pass the glucose test and that I most likely have gestational diabetes. This made me cry the whole day. There could be so many things wrong with Allie or I because of this. She could end up with diabetes or even being a still born. I was terrified for her. Nick gave me a blessing that night, and from then on I knew everything would be okay. We had asked his family and mine to do a family fast, so that Allie and I would be okay. Tuesday morning I went in for yet another test. This time it would be a three hour test where you had to drink double the amount of glucose and you have to get your blood drawn four times. I was so scared. This time when I drank it, I took a little longer, I thought that maybe me drinking it so fast was a bad thing. After I drank the drink I felt fine. During the whole test I was fine. I was not shaky or anything! After the test was a different story. Nick came after his class and met me for lunch. I was not allowed to eat till 1:30. While we were waiting for our lunch to come I started feeling super hot and way dizzy. I had to sit down and try to make my world stop spinning. I was so dizzy and everything kept flashing black. This happened for the rest of the day. I tried to go to work, but I was just so scared that I could not talk or anything. I have never blacked out and it was happening so often. My boss sent me home and I went and fell asleep so fast. When I woke up I was fine. A few days later, the doctor called and told me that I had passed the test and that Allie and I are both fine. I am so grateful for family and the willingness they had to fast and pray for my little girl and I!

Spring Break!

For the longest time Nick wanted to go back and visit his mission. He served in the San Jose, California Spanish Speaking mission. Anyway, we decided that no matter what, we would go to San Jose for Spring break. We started saving money for this trip in December. Unfortunately, we had a lot of bills coming, so our money went to the bills. I was starting to get nervous about the trip due to the fact we did not have money, but we had already made the arrangements to go.
We had a miracle/ blessing when we did our taxes and found out that we would be getting more than enough money back and just in time for Spring Break! We were so happy! We were able to get a bunch of treats for the car ride down and back so we would not have to stop at a restaurant.
I decided that traveling while pregnant is miserable. I figured this out when we went to Hawaii with my family during Christmas. Nick had a blast on the trip, but I was in my first trimester, which meant I was sick the WHOLE time. I said that I would never travel while pregnant. And now we were looking at a 14 hour drive. I was not excited for that!
We ended up leaving Saturday around four pm and we had to make a stop in Woods Cross, his parents house. We were in and out and by five thirty we were on the road again. I was so tired already!!! By seven I made us pull over because I had to pee.... We decided to have our "dinner" there at the rest stop. We made a loaf of bread into sandwiches. They tasted so good, but maybe we were just very hungry!!!!
The roads were awesome the whole way to California! However, once we got into California we hit a Snow Blizzard. NOT FUN! We were forced to pay $80.00 to get chains installed and bought. We were pushed back about two hours because we had to go so slow and had to wait for them to install them and such.
When we finally got to Fremont (the place where our hotel was) it was 8:45 in the morning. We just wanted to check in and go to bed! We were both exhausted! We got into the hotel just to find out that the front desk person ( who was NOT nice) would not let us check in till 11:00. This was bad because we had to still get ready for church. We ended up driving around... even more, we looked at places where Nick went. We then got to a parking lot and had to get ready there in our car. We had Wet Ones and we gave ourselves a sponge bath to feel a little cleaner.
We went to the church and since it was Spanish and I don't speak Spanish I stayed awake for just one of the lessons. I am pretty sure there was some snoring going on during Relief Society. I know real cute right?
Anyway, I know that I am writing way too much, so I will break the rest of the week down fast. But just so you know, this was my favorite trip because we did not have to worry about money, and it was just Nick and I. I felt like we were on our honey moon again! I loved this trip!

Monday: We went to the mission home and talked to some of the missionaries there. We also went to his mission presidents house and talked with the president and his wife. We then went to dinner with a person from the branch there. It was so yummy!

Tuesday: We went to Pizza my Heart. It was an amazing! Then we went to the board walk ( we were in Santa Cruz) We payed mini golf and it was so much fun! We then went to the pier and walked it! It was amazingly long! there were i think 50 stores on the pier. I was craving an ice cream Sunday and we got one!!! Oh it was SO yummy! Then on the other side of the pier there were probably 70 sea lions, or seals... I am not sure! But they were so much fun to watch! We then drove for a little bit and got to go to dinner with people that Nick taught. They took us out to a Jap. Grill. It was so cool because they made the food in front of you! I never thought that I would go to a place like that. :D

Wednesday: This was our last day to visit people so we made our rounds, and it seemed like we went every where for this. But in the morning we were able to go to the temple and it was so great! We were not in there very long because I was getting so many hot flashes I felt like I was about to pass out, so we left and walked around the temple instead.

Thursday was our trip back home :D

Little Allie

Allie has a great spine! That is what this picture is supposed to show, I think she just looks so cute all curled up and sleeping! I cannot believe how incredible being pregnant is. Just knowing that my husband and I created such a beautiful thing!

This picture makes me kinda sad, but at the same time happy. She looks like a holocaust survivor. You can see every bone and I am not sure that I like that, I know that she will get more fat eventually. So I will just keep my head up :D

She has the cutest face! She has Nick's upper lip right now. That is one of my favorite physical features of him! She is already smiling, even though she is asleep. I think she was kinda snickering at us because she was not cooperating at first!

On Thursday Feb, 10 we had our ultra-sound appointment to find out what we were having. Nick and I, along with lots of family and friends, were so excited to find out! For a few weeks before this date, I had so many dreams that our baby was a girl. I wanted a baby girl so bad, that I thought my dreams were just wishes.

Nick and I were talking about what would happen if our baby was a boy. I knew deep down that I would be happy no matter what, but it was DEEP down. I was heart broken just thinking that we were having a boy. My heart has been set on having a little girl for such a long time. I just wanted my little girl.

Anyway, that day seemed to be the longest day of my life! My wedding day went faster than this day! We got up and I had a chiropractor appointment that morning. I did my hair so cute and I got in a cute outfit, just because I knew I would be seeing my child today! My appointment was at 10:30 am for my back. My Ultrasound appointment was at 1:00 pm! Talk about killing me slowly! That whole day I felt so many kicks and wiggles! Our little one was hiccuping the whole day as well, or so it felt.

When we finally got to the hospital, our baby fell asleep! I was shocked! I mean, there were kicks and wiggles and hiccups the whole day. During the ultrasound, our baby was in a tight ball. At first I was afraid that we would not be able to find out the gender. However, after a lot of hitting my belly and talking to her, Allie cooperated. We were able to tell that she was a girl! We got one picture of her face that was super cute and then a couple of her whole body! Ah! I am already in love with her! I cannot wait till she is here.

We also found out that we were a week further than we thought. Allie is due to be here June 27. This is a good thing for us because originally she was due on a Sunday. This meant that we would not even have our doctor there. Now, she is due on a Monday. So he will be there :D

Start of the baby bump!

Well, I am now at fifteen weeks and I am loving being pregnant. I still can't feel our little baby, but I am starting to get the baby bump! I am hoping that the baby will start being able to kick and I will feel our little one. :D I am starting to feel like a whale and I know that it will only get bigger and bigger! So here we go!

New Place to live? I think so!

We decided that we were paying too much for what we were getting in rent. We are not too pleased with our housing, so we were on the search! We found an ad on KSL and We are pretty excited about it. The apartment is smaller (one room) but it has more storage space and counters! It has a room for storage, it is a bit smaller but it is a perfect baby room! We are super excited about that, and the fact that it is yellow! We will be moving in January 14 and could not be more excited!

And we keep on living life!

Well, the biggest news now is I am pregnant! At this point I am 11 weeks along! I love knowing that we will have a little one of our own! I am not a fan of all the morning sickness that goes with it all! I don't throw up, but I just stay nauseous all day long! I am not a fan of that! I am definitely growing but I do not feel our little ones kicks yet so I am just feeling fat. I know that one day this feeling will change! Until then, I will just love our baby!
Nick is on his finals week and I could not be any more happy! He spends just about all of his time in the studio, or with his second wife who happens to be a really good friend of mine's husband. Tanner Snow is majoring in the same thing and Mandi Lanier Snow has been feeling the same ways... in more than one! She is pregnant too and I think 11 weeks past me. SO she is able to tell me about her pregnancy and what to look forward to. I am so grateful for the friendship that we have with them!

We also were able to get our christmas tree! I love it! We decided to make a tradition and each year we will add decorations to our tree. We have all purple and silver and I love it!

Good luck every one on your finals!

Honeymooners

Our honeymoon was amazing! We were able to be in Park City until Monday morning. We woke up, and were on our way! We made a secret stop in Heber City, Utah. We just needed to grab an inhaler for me and cookies for us! Once we got those, we were on our way to our next destination! We went to Cedar City. It seemed like the drive just kept going and going! There was a car that the people in it were so cute! They were recording our decorated car and waving to us. We had lots of people honking and such. It was kinda fun. :) Once we got to Cedar and found our hotel, we went to Sizzler to eat some dinner. That night I asked Nick if we could go horse back riding one day. I just had the urge to go riding. Nick is not a huge fan of horses. He agreed. I told him not too soon, but just one day. The next day we were going to Bryce Canyon. When we finally got there, I went to the restroom and when I came back a man at a desk was like "you ready to ride?" I was like "Ride?" and that is when Nick surprised me! he had planned since May to go horse back riding in Bryce Canyon! I was so happy! I could not believe it! We went on a two hour horse back riding tour. It was so much fun. On our way back to Cedar we stopped at a few places that were scenic routes or what ever. They were breath taking. Wednesday on our way home, we wanted to stop in Ephraim to say hi to friends. All of them were busy in RA training.... So we sat and watched for an hour and then we left to go home.... FUN!

I'm keeping you forever and for always!

Oh man! It is wedding time! I could hardly breathe! I was so excited to be married to my best friend! I thought the whole time "Finally! I get to spend forever with you!". Here is how the day panned out:

10:00 AM we were supposed to leave.... did we???? NOPE!
10:45 AM Finally! We left! we needed to be there soon!

I will just start off by saying how beautiful my reception was! It rained for maybe ten minutes. After that we had a double rainbow right above our reception place. Nicks grandmother, Renee, was so willing and happy to have the reception at her place. It was amazing! She basically lives in a garden. It was perfect! We got so many gifts and so many guests! Thank you everyone who came!

List of things that went wrong

There were so many things that were hard for me, but even harder for Nick. I felt so bad for him. Nick's family automatically welcomed me! I felt so loved. When ever I walked into a group of his family, I was instantly greeted with a hug! Nick on the other hand did not get that warm of a greeting. Our engagement came as a negative shock to my family. Some people really was okay with it. However, most of them did not. Nick is still to this day trying to get everyone to be more welcoming. They have all accepted the fact that we are married, they just do not like it very much I guess. Here is a list of things that went kinda crazy during our engagement:

date was changed 5 times:
May 15
June 25
July 23
June 25
August 7

Why was it changed so many times? Simple, everyone thought that it would be hard to plan a wedding for May, so we moved it to June. My parents said that the flowers would not be good in June. We were asked to move it to "late July, early August". We moved it to July and my parents were not happy with this. They pulled out financially, so we moved it back to June because now there really was no way we could have it in May. My dad later convinced me to change it to August to make my mom happy. I even let her choose the date. She chose August 7.

Nicks ring trouble
I ordered a ring for Nick online. It was a great price and they would do free engravings, shipping and handling. I was so excited. I had it engraved to say our wedding date. Once we got the ring, we had changed our date. I tried to call the company to see if they could change the date. They tried in a ring there and said it would not work. I had to RE ORDER a new ring. I did in later July and I accidentally got the wrong ring. But it was okay because we both thought that it looked even better.

Money issues
Every one knows that money is a horrible thing. It will only create DRAMA and trouble for every one. Our wedding was no different. My family once again pulled out financially. At first, I was so upset about this. They wanted so many things for my wedding and wanted me to pay for it. Nick and I decided that it is our wedding and we did what we wanted. We wanted a small reception. So we made it that way. I was lucky to be working at a place that paid me well, so I ended up putting $1800.00 into the wedding out of my own pocket. Nicks family put a whole lot more into our wedding than I did. I am eternally grateful for them all.

Bridesmaid dresses
The dresses seemed to be the messiest thing! I told the girls to just wear a lavender top and a white skirt. The outcome was periwinkle blue dresses. Don't ask how that happened. It just did. :)

Nicks ring trouble part two
Once we got to the temple for our sealing, Nick gave me his ring ( I had him holding it for security purposes). He told me to give it to my dad. We went into a room to sign papers, and I accidentally left it there. We had it seemed, all the temple workers looking for the ring. LUCKILY by the time our sealing came, the ring was in our hands.

This is just a readers digest of the troubles we faced. :D

The real engagement

When Nick came to get me to talk I was so scared. I just knew that he was going to break up with me! We drove to the Manti Temple which was only seven miles away. When we got there it was 11:30pm and 13 degrees out side. It was COLD! Anyway, once we got there Nick gave me a little red plastic heart. He said that this heart was his and he wanted me to keep it. Then he took off the fake engagement ring. He asked how serious I was about serving a mission. I told him that I wanted to serve a mission, but I would not put off marriage for a mission, if it were the right choice. I thought that he did not like that answer because he just got out of the car and started to throw snow balls. I thought that he was crazy. He was in a t-shirt, pajama bottoms, and flip flops. It seemed like he was mad and I felt horrible about it. I saw Nick put the ring in a snow ball and I saw him throw it! I was so shocked! This ring was not ours, it was my roommates, Kia, who was so nice to let us use it! He called me outside, so I got out. I was in a winter coat and winter boots. I was still way cold! Nick put a snow ball in between our hands. He made us hold the snow ball for what seemed forever. I was kinda yelling at him to get in the car. I was afraid that both of us were going to get sick from being in this cold with a snow ball in our hands! Eventually, the snow ball started to melt. As soon as I felt the ring, Nick proposed! I was so shocked! I could not tell if this was a joke or for real, once he convinced me that it was real, I said yes in a heartbeat!
I went to my roommates and told them what had happened! We were all so excited!
